CALGARY, May 1, 2017 /CNW/ – REIT INDEXPLUS Income Fund (the “Fund”) announces that the Fund has determined, effective July 1st, 2017, the Fund will discontinue paying the service fees, which are currently paid to dealers that have investors who hold units of the Fund. The Fund believes ceasing to pay service fees will bring it in line with closed-end funds which have eliminated service fees and will also benefit unitholders as the Fund will have a lower management expense ratio and more cash available for investments.
The Fund trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “IDR.UN”.
