TORONTO, April 20, 2015 /CNW/ – Granite Real Estate Investment Trust (“Granite”) (TSX: GRT.UN / NYSE: GRP.U) today announced that Magna International Inc.’s (TSX: MG, NYSE: MGA) recently announced agreement to sell substantially all of its interiors operations to Grupo Antolin includes operations at four Granite-owned facilities. The four facilities represent approximately 880,000 square feet, have a weighted average remaining lease term of approximately three years and account for less than 2% of Granite’s total annual rental income. At this time, as the sale has not yet closed, Granite is not aware of Grupo Antolin’s intention to extend the leases beyond their existing terms. The properties are located in Ebergassing, Austria; Straubing, Germany; Redditch, United Kingdom and Nashville, Illinois, USA. Each property continues to be managed by Granite to optimize current and future value.
