(“Brookfield Residential“) (TSX:BRP) (NYSE:BRP) announced today it has received the final order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) approving the plan of arrangement pursuant to which 1927726 Ontario Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management Inc., acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Brookfield Residential that Brookfield Asset Management Inc. and its affiliates did not already own (the “Arrangement“). The Arrangement was approved on March 10, 2015 at a special meeting of shareholders of Brookfield Residential. Closing of the Arrangement is scheduled to take place on March 13, 2015.
