TORONTO, June 4, 2015 /CNW/ – Slate Retail REIT (the “REIT”) (TSX: SRT.U / SRT.UN) today announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to purchase Barefoot Commons (SC), a 93% occupied, 90,702 square foot grocery-anchored shopping centre located in North Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach MSA), SC for U.S.$14.9 million (U.S. $164 per square foot). The property is anchored by BI-LO. The acquisition is expected to be completed in third quarter 2015 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.
